Privacy Policy for PauseMe
PauseMe is an Android TV app that detects active playback, pauses media, shows a "Still Watching?" confirmation overlay, and resumes playback when the user confirms. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.
Information We Collect
PauseMe does not collect, store, or sell personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, messages, photos, or payment details.
How the App Works
PauseMe uses certain device permissions only to provide its core playback monitoring features on your Android TV device.
- Display over other apps: used to show the "Still Watching?" overlay.
- Notification access: used to detect active media sessions and pause or resume playback more reliably.
- Boot completed: used to restart monitoring after the device reboots when auto-start is enabled.
Data Storage
PauseMe stores only basic app settings on your device, such as monitoring preferences and whether auto-start on boot is enabled. These settings remain on your device and are not transmitted to a remote server.
Data Sharing
PauseMe does not share personal data with third parties. The app does not use external analytics, advertising SDKs, or remote tracking services.
Children's Privacy
PauseMe is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Because PauseMe does not send personal information to external servers, data exposure is limited to local device settings stored by the app.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
